The Cocktail Servers plays a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for providing exceptional service, mixing and serving drinks, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Guest Service:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive service.
- Address guest concerns and questions promptly and courteously.
- Beverage Preparation:
- Mix and prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Maintain knowledge of current drink trends and seasonal offerings.
- Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations.
- Bar Maintenance:
- Stock and maintain bar area.
- Clean and sanitize glassware and bar equipment.
- Assist in closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
- Cash Handling:
- Accurately process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Follow all cash handling procedures and policies.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with side work and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bartender or cocktail server preferred.
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including spirits, wines, and cocktails.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid alcohol beverage server certification (if required by local regulations).
The restaurant server is second only to the quality of the food in creating positive memorable culinary experiences. Guest service is the first and primary responsibility. Everything the server does is done to delight guests.
Education
- High school diploma or GED
Skills and Experience (Essential)
- At least 18 years of age
- One year in the hospitality or restaurant industry
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to speak, read and write English and have basic food/beverage knowledge
- Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest complaints
