Superintendent – Parking Garage Restoration
Location: Pittsburgh, PA region | Full-Time, Field-Based | Reports To: Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
CHD Vertical is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for multiple active parking garage restoration and concrete repair projects. This is a field-based position responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining schedules, managing jobsite activity, and ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers to provide progress updates, staffing needs, material requirements, and schedule coordination. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, commercial construction field experience, and the ability to manage multiple moving projects across the region. Experience with parking structures, concrete restoration, waterproofing systems, coatings, or structural repair is strongly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee daily field operations on multiple active restoration and waterproofing projects simultaneously.
• Direct and hold accountable field crews and subcontractors to project scope, schedule, quality, and safety standards.
• Communicate project progress, field conditions, and issues to Project Management on a regular basis; maintain daily field reports and site documentation.
• Schedule labor and assist with workforce planning; coordinate staffing needs with Project Management.
• Ensure materials, equipment, and deliveries are procured and arrive on site as required to maintain project schedules.
• Maintain project schedules and assist with sequencing and phasing of work across multiple active sites.
• Conduct jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope documents; ensure work is performed in accordance with contract requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, and clients in the field to resolve issues and keep work moving.
• Monitor quality control and verify that all work meets project specifications and company standards.
• Assist with field problem solving and decision making; escalate issues to Project Management as appropriate.
• Submit RFIs, daily logs, and field reports through company reporting systems.
• Travel to projects throughout Western Pennsylvania and surrounding regions as required; a company vehicle or vehicle allowance is provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• 3 years of commercial construction field supervision experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active jobsites simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, and crew management skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally.
Preferred
• Experience in concrete restoration, structural repair, waterproofing, deck coatings, or parking garage construction.
• Prior experience managing projects ranging from $100K to $10M in value.
• Familiarity with HCSS, or similar field reporting and project management software.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
