Position Overview:
The Preschool Lead Counselor will oversee the Preschool-aged summer camp groups and support the daily operations of the Preschool Camp program. This role includes supervising campers, assisting with staff management, maintaining schedules, and ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate camp experience for all children.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations for Preschool camp groups
- Supervise and support Preschool counselors and camp staff
- Ensure campers are safe, engaged, and cared for throughout the day
- Assist with age-appropriate discipline and behavior guidance
- Keep groups on schedule for activities, meals, rest times, and transitions
- Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and camp leadership
- Help create a positive, calm, and fun camp environment
- Assist with problem-solving and daily logistical needs as they arise
Qualifications:

Experience working with preschool-aged children required
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Comfortable supervising and guiding other staff members
- Patient, nurturing, and confident working with young children
- Ability to manage multiple groups and transitions throughout the day
Preferred Skills:

Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare or camp setting
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for preschoolers
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
