Compensation

• Remote: $102,300 - $170,500 annually
• Chicago based: $112,000 - $188,100 annually

Job Description

As an Applied Machine Learning Scientist, you will partner with Product and Engineering teams to design, develop, and deploy ML-powered systems. The role focuses on real-world GenAI applications including document intelligence, voice-based systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic AI solutions within the Sales Hub or Customer Service ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Build: Develop scalable ML components for generative and agentic workflows (knowledge curation, search, context management).
• Apply Advanced Techniques: Utilize Deep Learning, LLMs, VLMs, fine-tuning, and prompt optimization.
• Collaborate: Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business teams.
• Drive ML Excellence: Manage model deployment, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full ML lifecycle from prototyping to iterative improvement.
  
  

Requirements

• Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Economics; OR 2 years of related industry experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Industry experience in Machine Learning/GenAI.
• Skills:
• Deep learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Huggingface.
• Experience with Generative AI/ML solutions (finetuning, training, testing, validating).
• Deployment: Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Cloud Providers: AWS and Azure.
• Strong communication skills for technical and business audiences.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in relevant fields.
• Experience with model quantization and deployment on servers (e.g., Triton).
• Experience managing end-to-end SDLC (CI/CD, Kubernetes, monitoring).
• Familiarity with libraries: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Autogen, or Crew.ai.
