Location: Roseville CA – Onsite
Duration: 6 months with the possibility of extension
Role Summary
As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will support new product development in the HPE Aruba Networking lab. Your role focuses on building, testing, and troubleshooting prototype electrical hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, modify, and test prototype electrical equipment
- Rework and repair SMT (Surface Mount Technology) circuit boards
- Use tools such as Metcal soldering systems and air pencil tools
- Set up, run, and monitor environmental and regulatory tests
- Assist in writing basic test plans
- Improve technician processes and workflows
- Collaborate with on-site and remote engineering teams
Experience Required
- Minimum 4 years of relevant technician experience
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, printouts, and specifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills
- Experience with hardware testing equipment, including:
- Voltmeter
- Oscilloscope
- Pattern generator
- Logic analyzer
- Ability to set up test equipment and measure electrical signals
