Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer V to provide technical leadership and manufacturing expertise for the assembly of fuel injectors at the Pontiac facility. This role focuses on production efficiency, quality, process improvement, and safety compliance, supporting world-class manufacturing standards within a high-volume, precision assembly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Exposure to complex processes to manufacture and assemble fuel injectors
- Development of both manufacturing processes and assembly processes and the interactions between one another
- This role is key to the development of work class process and risk mitigation for fuel systems for Client.
- Assisting in process improvements for current assembly process
- Understanding and walking back issues that occur due to first test pass failures
- Creating and updating all APQP elements
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s OR Master’s degree accepted.
Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of manufacturing or assembly engineering experience.
- Strong background in assembly processes, equipment troubleshooting, and manufacturing operations.
- APQP expertise (Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA).
Technical Skills
Required:
- Assembly process and equipment troubleshooting experience.
- Manufacturing process improvement and risk mitigation.
- PFMEA AND APQP Documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and reports.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
