Job - CNC Machinist
Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 24 Months (Contract)
The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC), located at the Santa Rosa campus, designs and manufactures mechanical components that support industry-leading electronic measurement equipment.
Role Overview
As a Machinist, you will develop and refine machining processes using advanced CNC equipment, including:
- Swiss Style Lathes
- Single & Multi-Turret Lathes
- 3–5 Axis Milling Centers
You will support R&D teams, influence mechanical designs for manufacturability, and help transition new products into production.
This role is ideal for a machinist with strong precision skills, eagerness to learn advanced technologies, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, maintenance, scheduling, and management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, sustain, and improve machining processes using state-of-the-art CNC machines.
- Work closely with R&D on microwave and high-precision applications.
- Influence mechanical component designs to ensure manufacturability.
- Support production and NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts.
- Interface with engineering, maintenance, management, and production/NPI schedulers.
