What are the responsibilities and job description for the Picker Packer position at Chase Technical?
Chase Technical Staffing is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associates to support both picking/packing operations and sanitation duties within a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for candidates who are comfortable with physical work, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking & Packing
- Accurately pick and pack orders based on work orders and customer requirements
- Verify product quantities, labeling, and packaging for accuracy
- Prepare and stage completed orders for shipment
- Utilize RF scanners or inventory systems to track materials and orders
- Maintain a clean and organized picking/packing area
- Sanitation
- Perform cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, workspaces, and facility areas
- Follow established sanitation procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and safety standards
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning as required
- Maintain sanitation logs and documentation
Additional Duties
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
- Assist with general warehouse and production tasks as needed
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to support daily operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in warehouse, production, sanitation, or food manufacturing is a plus
- Ability to follow written instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Basic English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems
- Familiarity with GMP or food safety standards
- Previous sanitation or janitorial experience in a manufacturing setting
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
