Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly, providing expert guidance on artworks and artists to enhance their experience
- Drive sales by engaging clients with compelling stories about the pieces and assisting with purchases
- Manage daily gallery operations, including opening, closing, and maintaining a clean, organized space
- Coordinate art exhibitions, installations, and events with attention to detail in layout design and presentation software
- Collaborate with artists, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality fabrication and conservation framing of artworks
- Oversee inventory management using CAD or SketchUp for spatial planning and artwork placement
- Maintain excellent client communication to build lasting relationships and promote upcoming exhibitions or sales opportunities
Skills
- Knowledge of digital design principles such as color theory, typography, layout design, and visual storytelling
- Experience with art direction, production design, rigging, fabrication techniques, and conservation framing
- Familiarity with interior design concepts relevant to gallery space arrangement and exhibition setup
- Experience in museum or gallery environments is highly desirable
- Excellent client communication skills combined with a passion for arts marketing and promotion
