🎯 What You’ll Do
- Champion a safe working environment by promoting best practices and proactive risk management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements, translating standards into practical solutions
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics (lost days, incident rates, near misses) to identify trends and drive improvements
- Maintain accurate documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance
- Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring to safeguard employee health
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and implement safety measures for new processes, equipment, and construction projects
- Lead and support departmental Safety Teams, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Drive continuous improvement in safety programs, policies, and procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to design and deliver training programs
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills with tact and discretion
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Manufacturing or metals industry background
- Experience working with regulatory agencies (local, state, federal)
- Knowledge of environmental compliance programs
- Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency
- Demonstrated success leading safety initiatives with measurable results
