POSITION OVERVIEW

The Physicians Partnerships Manager is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Physician Partnerships Team and providing leadership and support to Clinical Research Liaisons to ensure that as many patients as possible are scheduled to screen in enrolling studies. The Physician Partnerships Manager works closely with local physician practices to identify, recruit, pre-screen, and schedule screening visits for potential participants in current and upcoming clinical trials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead the Physician Partnerships Team to achieve screening goals to support the growth and success of the site and ensure exceptional prescreen conversion for all studies.
2. Think broadly and maintain a working knowledge of all actively enrolling and upcoming indications and trials.
3. Work closely with Director to develop department strategy, ensuring prescreens are converted into study specific screens at a high rate and in a timely manner.
4. Communicate goals and metrics to the Clinical Research Liaisons and motivate team to achieve team and department objectives.
5. Conduct outreach to potential physician and community partners to establish partnerships and provide opportunities for patient recruitment and enrollment in clinical trials.
6. Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with established physician and community partners, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential participants in current and upcoming trials.
7. Mentor and train team members; provide leadership and support to all department members.
8. Regularly shadow team members to maintain quality and consistency standards; provide feedback to Clinical Research Liaisons regarding their performance in identifying, recruiting, pre-screening, and scheduling participants for screens in currently enrolling clinical trials.
9. Assist with overflow prescreens, community prescreening efforts, and day-to-day activities.
10. Provide excellent patient care and customer service; manage escalated situations with professionalism, empathy, and patience and work to develop appropriate resolutions.
11. Identify, prioritize, and communicate issues that need to be addressed by management.
12. Ensure the company’s core values are known and continually practiced by the Physician Partnerships Team.
13. Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all Charter Research team members.
14. Ensure the Team adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned department(s).

1. Must possess a strong work ethic and a high level of motivation to grow the site’s prescreen operations.
2. Ability to manage, lead and motivate a team.

4. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational and planning skills.
5. Display agility in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting to changes in responsibilities and workloads.
6. Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines regarding patient matters and other sensitive information.

QUALIFICATIONS

Language

Must be fluent in Spanish, both spoken and written (Orlando location only).

Education

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. CCRC, CCRP, or ACRP-CP (or equivalent) professional certification preferred.
3. Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Experience

1. Typically, 3-5 years relevant experience or 2 years of relevant experience in clinical research.
2. Prior management experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
