Position Overview
Charter global is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) with a strong focus on IT staffing solutions to join our growing team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and delivering talent-based solutions that meet client workforce needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT staffing sales, client account development, and knowledge of contingent workforce models.
Key Responsibilities
Client Acquisition & Business Growth
- Identify, target, and develop relationships with new clients seeking technical staffing services (contract, contract-to-hire, direct hire).
- Develop a sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, and market research.
- Generate new client accounts, expand existing business, and bring an established book of business to drive revenue growth.
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the main point of contact for new and existing clients, maintaining long-term relationships built on trust and delivery.
- Understand client requirements in-depth and communicate effectively with internal recruitment teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with clients to assess satisfaction, uncover upcoming needs, and identify opportunities for growth.
Staffing Solutions & Delivery Coordination
- Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure submitted candidates match client expectations and job requirements.
- Provide accurate job order intake and maintain real-time updates in CRM and applicant tracking systems.
- Negotiate client terms, pricing, and service-level expectations, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Sales & Market Intelligence
- Track staffing industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
- Attend industry networking events and conferences to build brand presence and client pipeline.
- Create and present customized staffing solutions, proposals, and RFP responses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field is preferred.
- 3–6 years of proven success in IT staffing sales or recruiting with a focus on client development.
- Strong understanding of contingent workforce models, MSP/VMS environments, and direct client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using CRM tools and applicant tracking systems
- Experience selling to mid-size to enterprise clients across various industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology, retail).
- Familiarity with both domestic and offshore staffing delivery models.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceedingly quarterly/annual sales targets.
