Our multidisciplinary team of skilled, compassionate professionals is dedicated to guiding clients along their individual paths to recovery. We employ a multifaceted approach that includes cutting-edge pharmacotherapy (psychotropic medications), evidence-based individual and group therapy, Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), and Community Psychiatric Support Services (CPST).  In addition to medication-based treatments, we also offer proven non-pharmacological therapies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Vagal Nerve Stimulation (VNS), and validated aspects of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM).

About the Role:

The Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant in this role will provide comprehensive mental health care to diverse patient populations across various clinical settings in the United States. This position focuses on diagnosing, treating, and managing psychiatric disorders while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. The role demands a commitment to evidence-based practice, patient education, and advocacy to improve mental health outcomes. The practitioner will also engage in ongoing assessment and follow-up to ensure continuity of care and adjust treatments as necessary. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance the quality of life for patients through compassionate, holistic, and culturally sensitive mental health services.  This is a site-based position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant license in the United States.
  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or relevant Physician Assistant certification with experience in mental health.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychiatric or mental health clinical practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, or community mental health settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Additional certifications in psychotherapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Strong background in substance use disorder treatment.
  • Participation in continuing education related to psychiatric care and mental health innovations.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments to diagnose conditions accurately.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and providing psychotherapy as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical response and patient feedback.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in psychiatric care and best practices.

Skills:

The required clinical skills enable the practitioner to perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop effective treatment plans, and manage complex mental health conditions with confidence and precision. Communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care. Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth technology facilitates efficient documentation and remote patient management. Preferred skills such as psychotherapy techniques and substance use disorder expertise enhance the ability to provide integrated and personalized care. Continuous learning and adaptability are vital to staying current with evolving mental health practices and delivering the highest standard of care.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
