Parts Counter Associate

Chapman Bell Rd. Hyundai is looking for an experienced Parts Counter Associate to join our team. The individual selected for this role will be responsible for running the parts counter and managing the wholesale and retail parts sales process, and assisting in other areas of the parts department as needed. Successful candidates are team players who are great at building relationships, and have previous experience in a parts role in the automotive industry. The Parts Counter Associate will report to the Parts Manager.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide customers with price quotes, invoices, and other information
• Locate and order parts from vendors or other outside sources and maintain contact with vendors and customers regarding order status
• Pull and fill orders from stock, ensuring customers receive parts and accessories in a timely manner
• Prepare orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up
• Review body shop estimates to ensure accuracy of parts needed and verify pricing
• Ensure internal parts requests are billed accurately on service repair orders
• Receive payment from customers, or obtain credit authorization
• Perform weekly bin counts to maintain accurate parts inventory
• Maintain the appearance of the parts counter and retail displays
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Experience

• Must have valid Arizona driver’s license
• Previous experience in a retail or wholesale auto parts department preferred
• General automotive knowledge is necessary
• Basic computer skills required; DMS experience is preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Solid customer service and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a positive, professional attitude.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  
  

Hours and Work Environment

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer a competitive, fast-paced environment where hands-on work, technical skill, and strong attention to detail are essential. We prioritize safety and quality in every aspect of the job, maintaining high standards without compromising safe work practices.
