Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team at Chandler Care Center. As a Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating all nursing services within the facility. You will ensure high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and efficient nursing operations while promoting a safe and positive environment for patients, residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Direct and oversee daily nursing operations; supervise nursing staff; develop staffing plans and schedules; foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional excellence; participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives.

• Patient Care & Quality Assurance: Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care; monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement programs; review and evaluate nursing practices; investigate and address patient complaints, incidents, and concerns.

• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations; ensure adherence to policies established by organizations such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and The Joint Commission when applicable; prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits; maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.

• Staff Development: Recruit, hire, train, and retain qualified nursing personnel; conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and mentorship; identify staff education needs and coordinate ongoing training programs; promote professional growth and continuing education.

• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets; monitor labor costs, supplies, and equipment expenditures; ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining quality care standards.

• Communication & Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals; communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; participate in leadership meetings and interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.

• Experience: 3-5 years (or more) of progressive nursing leadership experience; experience in hospital, long-term care, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing settings preferred.

• Skills: Strong leadership and decision-making abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards; budgeting and financial management skills; proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems; problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
