Long-Term Substitute Intensive Paraeducator Needed
Location: Charlotte Central School

Charlotte Central School (CCS) is seeking an energetic and collaborative professional to join our special education team as a Long-Term Substitute Intensive Paraeducator. This long-term sub position is antipated to start on 08/24/26 and end on 10/09/26. The successful candidate will be a skilled, caring individual dedicated to providing intensive support in the areas of multi-layered curriculum (or curriculum overlapping), communication, behavior, and activities of daily living. In this role, you will work across our Pre-K to 8th grade school settings to support student independence and ensure the smooth functioning of academic programs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implement and support elements of student instructional and behavioral plans under the direction of licensed professionals.
- Integrate communication and behavioral interventions into various classroom and school-wide settings.
- Foster student independence to ensure full participation in all school activities, promoting growth in every interaction.
- Assist with activities of daily living, which may include personal care and physical support.
- Collaborate as a positive team member with teachers, specialists, and families to ensure instructional continuity.
- Supervise students during assigned duties, which may include lunch, recess, transitions, and potentially supporting students on the bus ride to or from school.
- Maintain professional integrity by carrying out school and district policies and advocating for inclusive education.
