Description
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Post Closing team to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to deadlines.
- Oversee the review and validation of loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Non-QM guidelines.
- Conduct quality control audits on closed loans to ensure all investor and regulatory requirements are met prior to shipment.
- Collaborate with underwriting, processing, funding, and secondary marketing to resolve post-closing conditions and deficiencies.
- Ensure timely delivery of closed loan files to investors and custodians.
- Identify trends, defects, and process gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing, refining, and enforcing post-closing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Non-QM post-closing guidelines and investor requirements.
- Monitor pipeline flow, turn times, and productivity metrics for the Post Closing team.
- Provide exceptional internal customer service and maintain strong partnerships with internal departments and external investors.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of mortgage post-closing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with Non-QM loan products and investor delivery requirements.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, compliance, and post-closing quality control standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Preferred proficiency in Encompass and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Handle physical aspects of the role, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds of loan files or office materials and moving around the office as needed.
