The Head Start Teacher is responsible forproviding leadership in the
classroom and carrying out a developmentally appropriate educational
program to meet the individual needs of each child and Illinois Early
Learning Standards. An important role of the Teacher is to provide
leadership for our students and by creating a positive learning
environment where Head Start children gain the skills, knowledge, and
attitudes that lead to future school success. Our culture requires our
teaching staff to ensure a supportive, inclusive, and welcoming
environment every day and fosters a sense of belonging and safety for
staff, families, and children.\

Ability to fulfill all DCFS requirements, including a physical and
criminal background check.\
Must have a AA or BS in Early Childhood Education.\
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.\
Demonstrated exemplary attendance and dependability is required.\
Ability to practice inclusivity and civility at all times.\
\
Applicants must have a passion for children and families and the ability
to support their success for self-sufficiency. Candidates seeking to
