What You Will Be Accountable For
- Manage end-to-end tracking of product recalls, pull-and-quarantine actions, ensuring completion and proper documentation
- Contact retail store locations to communicate urgent recall instructions and confirm product removal and disposal
- Follow up consistently with store managers and field teams until recall substantiation is achieved
- Serve as a central point of contact between Compliance and cross-functional teams including Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Quality, and Technical teams
- Distribute clear and timely recall communications to internal stakeholders and field operations
- Escalate unresolved issues or non-compliance to appropriate departments
- Handle inbound and outbound communication related to product recalls and compliance inquiries
- Act as an escalation point for complex customer or store-level issues
- Resolve service or billing-related concerns when applicable, including adjustments or approvals
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all recall activities, communications, and resolutions
- Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data validation) to manage large datasets and track progress
- Monitor, audit, and report on call center and recall activity to leadership
- Assist in developing and updating SOPs, job aids, and compliance documentation
- Support ongoing compliance initiatives across regulated categories (e.g., food safety, alcohol, tobacco)
- Contribute to process improvements and team projects within the Retail Compliance function
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 10 years of experience in customer service, call center, or client-facing support roles
- Strong experience managing high-volume inbound/outbound communications
- Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation, duplicate checks)
- Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle urgent priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
- Experience in retail compliance, recalls, or regulated environments (healthcare, pharmacy, food safety, etc.)
- Prior experience supporting cross-functional corporate teams
- Experience mentoring or leading junior team members
