Title: CDL Driver / Equipment Operator – Specialty Hydraulic Truck
Location: Belvidere, IL; all routes within ~70 miles of Rockford
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM to start, later 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration & Type: Part-time (25–30 hrs/week) ramping to full-time (40 hrs/week) over 90 days

What You Will Be Accountable For
- Safely operate a specialty hydraulic truck servicing customer locations within ~70-mile radius
- Complete DOT-compliant pre- and post-trip inspections per FMCSA requirements
- Operate truck-mounted hydraulic systems from the cab for onsite service operations
- Perform routine equipment checks, light maintenance, and cleanliness tasks
- Maintain accurate service logs, inspection records, and safety documentation
- Identify and escalate maintenance or equipment issues promptly
- Deliver professional customer service at every job site
- Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing in/out of vehicle
- Valid CDL (Class A, B, or C) and current DOT medical card Equivalent military vehicle license/certification strongly considered
- Minimum 5 years total driving experience, including 2 years operating straight-truck or similar equipment Equivalent military vehicle experience accepted
- Clean MVR and driving history (no DUIs in last 5 years; minimal violations)
- Experience operating hydraulic or diesel-powered machinery (e.g., tow truck, skid steer, forklift, backhoe, military motor transport, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude; comfortable with routine equipment care and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of safety and performance
