About ChalkTalkSPORTS Brands

ChalkTalk Sports is a family-founded sports lifestyle apparel and gifting brand with more than 20 years in the market. With thousands of original products that celebrate sport over 12 different sports. Our culture is fast-moving, collaborative, and deeply rooted in the sports we love.

This Graphic Designer Role

We're looking for a versatile Graphic Designer who can move fluidly between illustration, photo retouching, and digital UX work. You'll be the creative hands behind everything from original artwork on our apparel to the product photography and on-site experience that turns browsers into buyers. This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable sketching a new design concept in Illustrator, retouching and compositing product shots in Photoshop, and thinking through how a product page or homepage actually converts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create original illustrations and graphic designs for apparel, packaging, and marketing assets, from concept sketches through print-ready files
  • Retouch, composite, and prepare product photography for our e-commerce site. Clean backgrounds, color correction, consistent lighting and framing across the full catalog
  • Design and refine the UX/UI of our commerce site, including product pages, category layouts, banners, and promotional placements, with an eye toward conversion and usability
  • Partner with marketing and merchandising to translate campaign concepts into on-site creative, social assets, and email graphics
  • Maintain and evolve our visual brand standards across all customer touchpoints
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, small-team environment where you'll wear more than one hat

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in ecommerce, retail, or consumer brands
  • A portfolio demonstrating both original illustration/artwork and product/ecommerce imagery
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Demonstrated experience designing UX/UI for ecommerce or content-heavy websites, with a working understanding of layout hierarchy, responsive design, and conversion
  • Experience retouching, compositing, and preparing product photography for online retail: clean backgrounds, color correction, and consistent lighting and framing
  • Strong command of typography, color, and composition, paired with a practical understanding of print and web production specs
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform, including preparing web-optimized, correctly sized assets within theme constraints
  • Motion graphics or short-form video editing skills
  • Experience designing for apparel, soft goods, or sports/team merchandise
  • Familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Lightroom)
  • Basic HTML/CSS for adjusting on-site elements
  • Experience with Figma or similar prototyping and design tools
  • Studio or product photography experience (lighting, styling, shooting)
  • Experience creating email and social marketing graphics (Klaviyo, Meta, TikTok)

PLEASE SEND RESUME & PORTFOLIO TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW.
