In this Shift Lead role, you will:
- Support baristas with hands-on drink preparation, especially during (but not limited to) peak hours
- Manage the POS with cash handling and credit card transactions
- Demonstrate an excellent level of customer service
- Handle customer feedback with sincerity and professionalism
- Lead by example by upholding company values and promoting a positive team culture
- Assist managers in assigning barista staff tasks and delegation of duties per shift as needed
- Aid with opening and/or closing store procedures and protocols
- Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in ensuring the team is able to deliver high-quality and excellent customer service
- Support store and assistant managers with coaching for skill with baristas by conducting On-Job-Training (OJT)
- Participate and complete company trainings when necessary
- Practice a high standard for hospitality and our mission to "make friends through tea"
- Assist in addressing customer complaints and de-escalation solutions
- Will not be responsible for creation of schedules but may need to aid with call-off coverage as needed
- Have some awareness of sales performance and assist operations where needed
- Assist in marketing & promotion activities
- Ensure store inventory is arranged and managed properly
- Help to forecast inventory usage and delivery
- Support management with ordering and receiving inventory as needed
- Be a passionate tea lover
- Barista experience: 1 years (preferred)
- Leadership experience: 1 years (preferred)
- Food Handling Certificate Needed (Company can assist)
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Fun personality that can add to the CHAGEE culture
- Be a fast learner and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Work well as part of a team with strong work ethic
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to travel to other store locations or training facilities within a 20 mile radius on an as needed basis
- Be willing to learn other responsibilities and ad-hoc assignments
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling and stooping
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, and POS equipment
- Frequently lift/move up to 25lbs
