What You'll Do
- Lead month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations and review of journal entries for accuracy and completeness
- Oversee intercompany transactions (purchases, billings, reconciliations) and perform deep-dive variance analysis on revenue and COGS
- Manage sales/use tax filings and business property tax (571-L) to ensure timely and compliant reporting
- Review and approve credit card transactions, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments for accuracy and policy compliance
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to enforce financial policies, improve processes, and drive accountability
- Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Support Controller and Head of Finance with ad hoc analysis, audits, and strategic initiatives
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with hands-on experience in multi-entity environments
- Strong expertise in balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Experience supporting or accounting for construction project
- Solid understanding of lease accounting under ASC 842
- Proven ability to execute and enforce SOPs and internal controls
- Experience with systems such as NetSuite, Ramp, and Square (or similar platforms) preferred
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
