The part time Youth Advisor partners with the DHS FYI team, Chaffee County Youth Alliance (CCYA), Extraordinary Teen Council based in Salida, 5th Quarter Teen Council in Buena Vista, local youth serving organizations and the community to provide youth perspectives and recommendations on practices, policies, programs and processes in accordance with Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles. This position has a time commitment of 20 hours per month.
This part time position is nonexempt, hourly with a wage range of $19.00 to $24.00, DOE. This position is eligible to accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours.
