QuickBooks Online Staff Accountant

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Remote / Hybrid (as applicable)

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with strong QuickBooks Online skills to support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with reconciliations, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions using QuickBooks Online
• Record and reconcile bank, credit card, and loan transactions
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Prepare invoices and monitor collections
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
• Reconcile payroll and payroll tax entries
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Work with management and external CPAs during tax preparation
• Support process improvements and internal control procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
