Job Overview
We are currently hiring Safety Technicians to support a large, long-term construction Industrial project. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in construction safety, with room for advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Walk active construction areas where trades are working
- Ensure proper PPE is worn at all times (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, eye protection, boots, and fall protection when required)
- Verify a spotter is present during scissor lift operations
- Identify and address safety hazards (trip/fall risks, exposed wiring, missing barricades, etc.)
- Ensure required documentation is visible (Pre-Task Plans, permits, JSA)
- Complete daily safety observations focused on injury prevention and risk reduction
- Assist with workplace injuries, including escorting employees to onsite medical
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly
Requirements
- OSHA 30 (Construction) required
- OSHA 30 General Industry is a plus and may qualify for higher pay
- Must have a background in construction safety
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively
- Ability to de-escalate conflicts professionally on job sites
- Must pass background check (no felonies)
- Must pass 10-panel drug screening
- Willingness to complete additional required site training (e.g., TSMC Supply 360)
Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
- Additional language skills (Mandarin/English or Mandarin/Spanish/English)
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday (40 hours/week)
- Alternating schedule may include Saturdays
