CGI is seeking a detail oriented Manual QA Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team supporting mission critical applications in a fast paced, cloud based (AWS) financial services environment.
This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Birmingham, AL

In this role, you will develop and execute test cases, validate functionality across web and mobile platforms, and partner closely with developers and product teams to ensure high quality releases. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 $123,200.00.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- 2 years of manual testing experience
- Solid grasp of the full testing lifecycle (STLC) and how it fits into SDLC
- Comfortable writing clear, thorough test cases, scenarios, and test plans from scratch
- Experience logging and tracking defects in Jira (Azure DevOps or Bugzilla also fine)
- Well rounded understanding of functional vs. non functional testing
- Hands on testing experience with web and/or mobile applications
- Sharp eye for spotting gaps in requirements and thinking through edge cases
- Working knowledge of SQL to validate data during testing
- Strong communicator who documents clearly and works well both independently and as part of a team
- Naturally curious — the kind of tester who likes finding creative ways to break things
- Exposure to API testing
- Agile/Scrum experience, exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Cypress), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, or ISTQB certification
