Your future duties and responsibilities

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence instances
- Design and manage workflows, screens, permission schemes, notification schemes, and custom fields
- Create and maintain Jira projects, boards (Scrum/Kanban), and dashboards for cross functional teams
- Manage user access, groups, roles, and permissions in line with security and compliance policies
- Install, configure, and maintain Jira plugins/add ons (e.g., Tempo, ScriptRunner, Zephyr, Structure)
- Perform system upgrades, migrations (Server to Cloud/Data Center), and integrations with third party tools (e.g., ServiceNow, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Slack, Teams)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and manage backups/disaster recovery
- Develop and maintain automation rules (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner) to streamline processes
- Support Agile ceremonies by ensuring Jira boards/reports (burndown, velocity, sprint reports) are accurate
- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and training materials for end users
- Partner with project managers, business analysts, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into Jira configurations
- Ensure compliance with data governance, audit, and security standards
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and act as SME for Jira related queries
- 3 years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian Jira (Software, Service Management)
- Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, JQL (Jira Query Language), and permission structures
- Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Data Center administration
- Familiarity with Confluence administration and integration with Jira
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Working knowledge of automation tools (Jira Automation, ScriptRunner) and REST APIs
- Strong problem solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications:
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP JA) certification
- Experience with Jira Cloud migration projects
- Familiarity with ITSM processes and Jira Service Management configuration
- Experience integrating Jira with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Scripting knowledge (Groovy, Python, or Bash) for automation
- Experience in a healthcare, financial services, or regulated industry environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative mindset with cross functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
