Overview Of The Treasury Manager
We’re introducing a new Treasury Management function and are seeking a Treasury Manager to lead the way! This is a temp-to-hire role offering the chance to build and shape a critical program from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
As Treasury Manager, you will:
- Oversee funds and investment activities, including cash flow monitoring, balance reporting, and disbursement of funds.
- Develop strategic plans to optimize debt portfolios, financial operations, and investment strategies—complete with forecasting, policy creation, and internal controls.
- Set up and reconcile government accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Establish internal controls and policies for debt structures and treasury operations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in treasury, finance, or accounting within a government sector.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of government finance, public fund investment, and debt issuance.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (data analysis, spreadsheet development).
- Leadership experience in training and managing staff.
- Preferred: Master’s degree, CTP, or CPA certification; experience with treasury accounting systems.
