Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex or unusual transactions to determine the correct GAAP accounting treatment, including matters unique to regulated industries.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting (10-Q and 10-K) through technical research, documentation, and accounting memos.
- Research emerging accounting standards and help lead implementation projects.
- Serve as a technical accounting resource for Finance, External Reporting, Treasury, and operational partners.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams addressing new standards and process improvements.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to cross-functional team members.
- Clearly articulate technical conclusions, financial impacts, and required actions to both accounting and non-accounting audiences.
- Develop documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- 8 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Public accounting (Big Four or large regional) is highly valued
- Strong GAAP knowledge; SEC reporting exposure is beneficial.
- Proven ability to analyze new or complex transactions.
- Base Salary: $125,000–$145,000
- Bonus: 15% target
