Staff Accountant – Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis
- Maintain supporting documentation and schedules for financial transactions
- Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation for auditors
- Review financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Epicor, or Dynamics
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes
- Manufacturing, distribution, or service industry accounting experience
