About The Opportunity

Our client—a respected, steadily growing company in the Pittsburgh area—is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals (1–4 years of experience) who are eager to strengthen their accounting skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that prioritizes growth and development.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
• Prepare journal entries and generate standard financial reports
• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company-specific accounting policies
• Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–4 years of relevant accounting experience (public or private sector)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas); ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
