We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant/ Payroll Specialist who is eager to grow into a Senior Accountant role. Overview Of The Staff Accountant/ Payroll Specialist Role

• Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll on a regular basis
• Ensure payroll accuracy, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Assist with payroll tax filings and reconciliations
• Handle employee payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner
• Support month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with general ledger activities and financial reporting
• Partner with accounting team on process improvements and special projects
  
  

Preferred Qualifications For The Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist

• 1–4 years of payroll experience
• Understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance
• Exposure to accounting principles (journal entries, reconciliations) is a plus
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with payroll systems (ADP, Paychex, UKG, etc.)
