The Senior Accountant may also oversee junior accounting staff and collaborate cross-functionally to support financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Perform variance analysis to identify and explain discrepancies
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Prepare and file tax returns and other required regulatory documents
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Implement, maintain, and improve accounting systems and procedures
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and oversight
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and provide insights
- Stay current on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field/CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
