Senior Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Manage general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial reporting
- Support the Assistant Controller and Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit and tax filings
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Contribute to ESOP-related financial reporting and employee ownership communications
- Analyze cost accounting data and support inventory valuation and margin analysis (can train on)
- Fixed Assets (can train on)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems and Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities
- Passion for employee ownership and collaborative work environments
