Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and rebates, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Inventory & Material Sourcing: Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate material sourcing practices, and ensure raw materials and supplies are available to support production needs.
- Cross‑Department Collaboration: Partner with engineering, customer service, warehouse teams, and plant management to forecast production materials and align purchasing activity with operational requirements.
- ERP Utilization: Use ERP systems (Genius or similar) for purchasing workflows, reporting, order tracking, data analysis, and continuous process improvement.
- Process Optimization & Reporting: Evaluate purchasing processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and assist leadership with reporting related to costs, production needs, and vendor performance.
Required:
- 5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, inventory management, or production planning
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
- Ability to read pick lists, drawings, and production-related documents
- Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Comfort working in a direct, fast‑moving environment
- Experience in custom manufacturing or a high‑mix production environment
- Prior ERP experience (Genius or similar systems)
- Team‑oriented with the ability to work closely across many departments
- Confident communicator who can ask questions and speak up when something looks incorrect
- Thrives in a hands‑on, high‑intensity, fast‑paced manufacturing operation
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
