Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with a growing real estate firm in downtown Boston on their search for a Property Accountant. Our client specializes in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial real estate across the United States.

- Accounting department team gets exposed to various areas of accounting analysis outside of pure property accounting (i.e. development accounting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis).

- Prepare annual building budgets including revenue projections, operating expenses, and capital improvement programs (in consultation with the Property Manager)
- Prepare monthly financial reports/balance sheets/cash flow analyses/operating expense analyses for internal use and investor reporting
- Oversee cash management for all entities
- Support audits
- Prepare and maintain general ledger and reconcile accounts
- Prepare bank reconciliations and Tenant CAM & Real Estate Tax calculations
- Review, set up and maintain property tenants on MRI software.
- Maintain knowledge of tenant leases (i.e. rent increases, options, special clauses, letter of credit).
- Prepare distributions and maintain priority return schedules.
- Prepare annual workpapers and work with external auditors.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Yardi, MRI preferred.
- Hybrid schedule, 3 days in office

Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
