- Oversee the full-cycle accounting function for an assigned portfolio of multifamily properties
- Prepare monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Complete month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
- Monitor cash balances, forecast cash requirements, and manage property banking activity
- Calculate management fees, owner distributions, accruals, and accounting reclassifications
- Partner with on-site property management teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Analyze monthly financial results and provide meaningful insights to leadership
- Track lender escrows, replacement reserves, debt service, and other property-related obligations
- Assist with annual budgets, forecasting updates, audits, and special accounting projects
- Support acquisitions, property dispositions, and onboarding of newly acquired assets
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of three years of property accounting experience, with multifamily experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing the complete accounting cycle for multiple properties
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, month-end close, and account reconciliations
- Experience with Yardi, MRI, RealPage, or similar property management/accounting software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial reporting preferred
- CPA or active CPA candidate is a plus but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
