- 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or project-based accounting environments
- Experience supporting project-level billing, including time-and-materials and fixed-fee contracts
- Understanding of GAAP fundamentals as they relate to invoicing and receivables
- Experience in monitoring AR aging and supporting collection efforts in partnership with operations
- Ability to collaborate with project managers and field teams to resolve billing issues and documentation needs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory capacity
- Experience mentoring or supporting billing or AR staff
- Background in construction, environmental services, or other project-driven industries
- Experience improving billing workflows, controls, or reporting processes
- ERP experience; Acumatica preferred
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting
