- Research alternative products, vendors, and procurement channels to identify savings opportunities
- Monitor supplier performance based on pricing, quality, availability, and service levels
- Review and approve new material and service suppliers
- Identify and qualify new vendors while expanding alternative sourcing options
- Establish purchasing controls, standardized procedures, workflow improvements, and supplier performance measurements
- Improve purchasing visibility and address operational bottlenecks
- Provide internal teams with shipment updates and anticipated delivery timelines
- Create and process purchase orders through the organization's ERP system and monitor orders through final delivery
- Provide senior leadership with procurement reporting, analysis, and support for special projects
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or a related discipline
- At least three years managing procurement activities across multiple business units, operating companies, or geographically dispersed locations
- Demonstrated success negotiating regional or national supplier agreements that produced measurable cost reductions
- Experience managing centralized purchasing operations while supporting decentralized business locations
- Proven ability to establish purchasing controls, supplier performance metrics, and standardized procurement procedures
- Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Excellent vendor negotiation, leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
