Responsibilities For The Payroll Specialist Role
- Process biweekly payroll for approximately 550 employees, ensuring accuracy across departments.
- Interpret collective bargaining agreements to ensure proper pay, deductions, and benefits administration.
- Review and resolve employee medical leave backlogs, maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Maintain, audit, and report on payroll data within the UKG system.
- Troubleshoot payroll and system issues, partnering with HR and finance to drive solutions.
- Preferred: Degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- 2 years of payroll experience, ideally in a union environment.
- Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) or similar systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret labor agreements and policies.
