We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist / HR Generalist to join our team in Westerville, Ohio. This role is primarily responsible for payroll processing, with additional responsibilities supporting HR functions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll (Primary Focus):
- Process and manage weekly/biweekly payroll accurately and on time
- Maintain payroll records, including wages, deductions, and taxes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries
- Coordinate with finance on payroll reporting and audits
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain employee records and HRIS systems
- Assist with benefits administration and employee communications
- Support employee relations and respond to HR-related inquiries
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
- 2 years of payroll experience (multi-state preferred)
- Experience with HR processes and generalist responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with HRIS/payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field
