Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000
Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of Facilities & Building Services to lead facility operations, maintenance, capital planning, and regulatory compliance for a senior living community in Elkhart, Indiana. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all building systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare and life-safety standards. HUD and CCRC experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and grounds services, including preventive maintenance programs, work orders, and vendor management.
- Manage capital projects, facility upgrades, and long-term maintenance planning, including contractor coordination and project oversight.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ADA, building codes, and CMS Life Safety standards.
- Lead and develop maintenance staff while managing department budgets, utilities, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- 5 years of facilities leadership experience, preferably within senior living, healthcare, or CCRC communities.
- HUD housing compliance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life-safety systems) and facility operations.
- Experience with CMMS systems, vendor management, and capital project planning; certifications such as CHFM, CFM, or PMP preferred.
