Key Responsibilities Of The HR Generalist
- Administer weekly payroll processing with accuracy and compliance with wage and hour regulations
- Maintain payroll records and prepare reports related to deductions, taxes, and other payroll components
- Coordinate and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
- Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit questions, enrollments, and issue resolution
- Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
- Assist in handling employee relations matters with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, and new hire orientation to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation
- Support HR initiatives related to performance management, engagement, and training
- Partner with leadership to improve HR processes and promote a strong, people-first culture
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 4 years of experience in HR generalist or HR administration roles
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance standards
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, or similar platforms)
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
- Experience supporting both office and field-based employees
