CFS has partnered with a property management company based in lower Westchester County to help identify their new Full Charge Bookkeeper for their team. This is a high visibility position with the opportunity to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including debits & credits, to reflect all financial transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Generate detailed financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and maintain compliance with governmental accounting requirements when applicable.
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights for financial planning.
- Handle complex technical accounting tasks such as double-entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
- Bachelor's degree or an Associate’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
- Prior experience working in a property management company is highly preferred.
