Location: Owings Mills, MD (Hybrid)
Compensation: Up to $140,000 base salary 10% bonus potential

We are partnering with a highly-reputable, privately-held company in Owings Mills, MD to hire a Director of Payroll to lead and elevate their payroll function. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional who thrives in a collaborative, employee-focused environment and wants to make a meaningful impact.

The Opportunity

The Director of Payroll will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement while leading a talented payroll team of 5 individuals. This role offers strong visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term growth potential.

What We’re Looking For in this Director of Payroll:

• Proven Payroll leadership experience at the Director or Manager level (or equivalent)


• High-volume, multi-entity payroll experience


• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, controls, and best practices


• Experience working with third-party payroll providers

Workday payroll experience preferred



• Proven ability to lead and develop teams and partner cross-functionally


• Hands-on, detail-oriented leader who values accuracy, collaboration, and culture
