- Design and implement on‑prem or cloud‑based data platforms, integrating Guidewire and other enterprise data sources
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and optimize data
- Develop and maintain data models for reporting, analytics, and advanced use cases (AI/ML)
- Implement data governance, quality, security, and compliance best practices
- Enable self‑service analytics and real‑time data processing using modern data technologies
- Collaborate with IT, analytics, and business teams to translate data needs into technical solutions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to data architecture and modernization initiatives
- Manage work through ticketing systems and contribute to project planning
- Support reporting requests and ad‑hoc analysis for leadership as needed
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field
- 5 years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles
- Experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite data models (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) preferred
- Strong experience with Azure‑based data platforms and lakehouse architectures
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory) and SQL‑based databases
- Hands‑on experience with big data and streaming technologies (Databricks, Spark, Kafka, etc.)
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
- Working knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Experience using Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Experience with Data Mesh architectures
- Exposure to machine learning / MLOps
- Azure Data Engineer certification
