About The Opportunity
A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong leadership and a commitment to operational excellence in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with accuracy and timeliness
- Manage all aspects of GAAP financial reporting, audits, and compliance
- Supervise and mentor a small accounting team
- Ensure proper accounting for grants, reimbursements, and restricted funds
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
- Implement and enhance internal controls, systems, and procedures
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and healthcare compliance agencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership in healthcare —preferred, NOT REQUIRED
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams
- Experience with MIP, Sage Intacct, or similar systems
