What You’ll Do
- Build and lead the accounting function from the ground up
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Oversee all accounting operations (GL, AP/AR, payroll, close process)
- Support and guide accounting staff on transactional processes and technical questions
- Partner with operations, scheduling, sales, and flight teams to ensure accurate financial data flow
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts
- Collaborate directly with the CEO, COO, and CFO on strategic initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience building or improving accounting processes and systems
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills
- Experience in aviation, transportation, or a service-based industry is a plus
