Commercial Property Accountant

Compensation: $66,000–$100,000 salary

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)

A well‑established organization is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join a collaborative, highly tenured accounting team. This role is a backfill due to internal movement and is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the full accounting cycle for real estate portfolios and wants long‑term growth in a stable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements for commercial properties
• Record accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Own budgets, reforecasts, and year‑end operating expense/CAM reconciliations
• Track capital projects, WIP, and assets placed into service
• Perform general ledger analysis and resolve variances
• Support audits, tax preparation, and special projects
• Work within an ERP environment to ensure accuracy and compliance
  
  

What They’re Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in commercial real estate or property accounting
• Hands‑on experience with budgets, CAM reconciliations, and full‑cycle accounting
• ERP experience (Yardi, MRI, JDE, or similar preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
